Stick Man
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
This is my daughters favourite book. I manage to get her to sit down and we can read the whole book together. She calls out the animals she sees in the book and repeats- stick man, oh stick man. She loves it so much that we read it daily. A great story for children and adults.

Great Bunny Bakes
Author: Ellie Snowdon
Really lovely story which is based around the great British bake off. The illustrations are fantastic and in great detail. My daughter who is a little over 2 hasn’t sat through the whole story once. We tend to read a bit and look into detail at the pictures. I would recommend this book for over 2’s. However as an adult reading this book, I love it!

National Trust: 123, A walk in the countryside
Illustrator: Rosalind Beardshaw
This book doesn't have a story line in words but in pictures. The main focus of the story is counting and looking at the lovely artwork. For the price we paid for the book I don't believe it was worth it. My daughter at 2 and will only sit through pages 1-6 then becomes uninterested.

That's Not My Unicorn
Author: Fiona Watt Illustrator: Rachel Wells
This was a great starter book for my daughter when around 1 and a half. She was really interested in touch and feel element of the book. As time as gone on she no longer is interested so I would recommend for younger children.

Five Minutes' Peace
Author: Jill Murphy Illustrator: Jill Murphy
This is a lovely story from an adults point of view but my little girl gets a bit bored of the storyline. She is more interested in the pictures and the elephants. I would recommend this book to an older toddler maybe from 2 and a half onwards.
