The Tale Of Peter Rabbit
Author: Beatrix Potter
I have always loved Peter Rabbit as a child. It's lovely to share a story I loved as a child with my own children. They equally love Peter Rabbit. This book is great my eldest daughter who is 6 read this book and it challenges her with some tricky words but the majority she can read independently. My youngest loves the story and the illustrations. A classic story and a firm favourite bedtime story in our house as they also love the movie.

Room on the Broom
Author: Julia Donaldson Illustrator: Axel Scheffler
Both of my girls love this book so much. It's a lovely book about friendship. We love how to start with the cat doesn't want anyone to join them and in the end they all bond and group together to save the witch from the dragon. The words and illustrations are amazing. We are huge fans of Julia Donaldson books.

WOW! Said the Owl
Author: Tim Hopgood
We LOVE this book! Really is such a great book for learning colours. With a lovely story about an owl and the colours of things it discovers. The handy recap at the back is useful to see the array of colours talked about.

Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes
Author: Mem Fox Illustrator: Helen Oxenbury
My daughter who is 3 absolutely loved this book! The illustrations are beautiful and it was a great book for us to discuss how our family and friends may all be different in some ways but the same in others. My 6 year old was over hearing this book which opened a wider conversation. She although much older, also loved this book! My 3 year old loved counting together on our hands and for the first time on our toes. So we manages to try and count from 10 to 20! We have read this many times in the short space of time that we have had this book and every time as enjoyable as the last.

Upsydown Town
Author: Sue Hendra
This is my daughters favourite book. It has been for some time. Every is switched around walking on your nose instead of on your toes. It's a lovely rhyming book with bright colorful illustrations. My girls favourite bit is when the birds get fed up and shout STOOOOOP! and you get to turn the book around.
