We loved The Gruffalo but had heard some people say that The Gruffalo's child lacked the same magic - this is not true!
We loved this book equally as much as the Gruffalo, and we enjoyed the reversal of the mouse now being the character to be feared 'THE BIG BAD MOUSE!'
In this story, the Gruffalo's child goes against her father's wishes and journey's out one night to find the Big Bad Mouse. The Gruffalo's child meets our best loved characters of fox, snake and owl before coming across mouse himself. Mouse's moonlight trick is charming and clever and had my children in fits of giggles when they were young.
I would highly recommend this book. Both The Gruffalo and the Gruffalo's Child should be firmly on any young child's bookcase.
