Jelly and her family are stunned when they hear on television that in just a few days chocolate will be gone, for ever! There is a Chocopocalypse on the horizon... can Garibaldi Chocolati the owner of the towns posh chocolate shop be trusted, or is he connected to this imminent disaster?

The Great Chocoplot is genius! Fantastic storytelling that pulls you in, and wonderful characters who take you on a magical adventure! What would YOU do if you heard that chocolate was about to disappear for good? *whisper* I had a Bruce Bogtrotter moment and ate more than was good for me... oops!

I absolutely LOVED this story. Jelly and her gran had me in stitches with their escapades and scientific theories. The Chocopocal-App is inspired -where can I download one from?- and can someone help me find the directions to Easter Egg Island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean cos I'm a bit rubbish at geography?!

My favourite bit is when... hang on! No spoilers! If you want to know, you'll have to read it yourself.

I read it to Elf aged 10

I spotted this book in WH Smiths and liked the front cover - it was about chocolate and appeared to be a bit mysterious so I thought my 10 year old daughter would enjoy it!

I read the book to my daughter (despite it being appropriate for her to read herself!) - we were going to take it in turns so she could read some to herself but I became quite engrossed so I read it all to her instead!

She loved it, it is one of her favourite reads - in fact it is one of the few books she won't donate to the school library yet as she wants to read it again first!

The characters were relatable and it had a good, fun plot.

We will deffo be looking out for further books from the same author.

I read it (an adult) , to Darcey aged 6 & to Jake321 aged 10

We read this book as a family. Darcey liked Jelly, the main character as she was very clever and resourceful. We thought she might be a detective when she grows up.
Jake liked this book because it had lots of twists and turns and was often funny.  We all liked the character of Gran because she was funny, but also a very clever scientist.

our only complaint was an unsatisfactory ending.  we would like a sequel, please!
