We read this book over the festive period.  A magical story full of festive spirit, about a Christmasaurus and a boy who believes more than anything. An adventure story with good vs evil, some surprises along the way and a plot that hurtles to a heart-warming conclusion. Perfect for Christmas reading!

I read this to both my 3year old and my 7year old. We read it bit by bit, but  It was more suited for my eldest. My 3 year old did listen to the story, but it didn't hold her attention throughout the whole book. We really enjoy reading Christmas stories, and this was a new one for us so we couldn't wait to read it. It was a unique, original story which we all enjoyed. It was funny and imaginative and my son loved the adventure of the story the most and the great illustrations. I was really impressed by the book.Overall a great, magical, festive story. .

Harry has been reading this to himself since he had it at Christmas. He has already finished it once and is now reading it again.

A story of a little boy who believes, more than anything!
He absolutely loves this book. The story is so lovely, but funny too. A story that definitely gets you hooked! I've never seen my son so engrossed in a book. I would definitely recommend to everyone, whether you have children or not, it is a book that must be read.
There is good and there is evil in this book, the ending is just brilliantly written & unexpected! Please read!

My daughter absolutely loved this book , she was always saying "I wouldn't be mean to William , I'd look after him".
I would read a chapter a night to my daughter and each night she would get so excited as she said the book made her feel Christmassy.
She loved hearing about how Santa and his elves really work . I really enjoyed reading this to my daughter, normally at bedtime I will say a quick story but at times I would actually not want to stop reading this, it's a great book that is addictive.
We especially loved how 'the dinosaur who pooped' got a mention.

Tom Fletcher is probably best known as a pop sensation and part of the writing partnership who produced the 'Dinosaur Who Pooped...' His newest writing venture is definitely aimed at children aged 7+.
In this stonking festive read, our main character, Will Trundle, is whisked away on Christmas Eve - towards the North Pole and adventure!  Following a pretty miserable year, Will is about rethink everything he thought he knew about Christmas with help of flying reindeer, an elf called Snozzletrump, Santa and a very special dinosaur...
I was very pleased to see that this book featured a main character who was in a wheelchair. Disability is rarely represented in children's books so I was happy to learn that Tom had worked closely with the Whizzkids charity to ensure portrayed Will's disability sensitively.

The main character in this story is a boy called William Trundle and he is bullied because he is in a wheelchair. The Christmasaurus and William accidentally meet when Santa leaves the dinosaur behind at William's house and they have  many adventures together.
I liked the story because it made me feel really Christmassy and the adventures were things that I could only dream of doing!

Well it took u a while to read (sorry Toppsta!) but it was so worth it! We read this as a family, so it took longer as we all had to be around to read a chapter (that included Daddy). To start with the girls were a little 'jolly' and didn't get into the book quite as quickly as I had liked. It took a while for the story to grab hold and suck them in, but when it did it was amazing! We went from Eleanor, standing on her head balancing against the wall whilst trying to listen, and Scarlett picking her nose, concentrating more on my earings than listening, to them both, leaning over the book waitin with baited breath for the next sentence!
They adored the first chapters on the hatching of the egg. They cried tears of laughter when 'snozzletrump' the elf 'trumped' with excitement when the egg hatched, they loved that Santa had to hatch the egg by sitting on it and they were quickly drawn into the story waiting to see what happened next!
Then the book moves on to the story of William Trundle. A young boy who is wheelchair bound. This part of the story really touched the girls emotions as it describes how William was bullied by a nasty girl called Brenda Payne. Both girls were horrified at how nasty Brenda was to William and it provoked lots of conversations on bullying and making people feel grotty. They were both very sad that William didn't have a mummy as well.
As the story moves on you read that William writes his Christmas list for Santa and asks for ......( I won't spoil it but the title gives you a clue!). Then the story really starts to get going! It involves a nasty hunter and Williams adventures with the Christmasaurus. Brenda Payne ends up not being quite as much as a pain as she first was, and you see William help her out and make her see the error of her ways.
We all thought the story was great. Lots of twists and turns and excitement. Lots of screams of laughter from the girls and even mummy and daddy thought it was a great book. The illustrations were fantastic and added to our imagination and the rhymes sung by the elves were really catchy! As we read the book we stopped and Scarlett read the rhymes. It was a great way to get her involved and she loved bring able to help read the book.
If you don't have this book for Christmas then you need to order it now! We are in the full Christmas swing now and it's not even December!

I purchased this book for my 6 year old's birthday which falls a week after Christmas. My son loved it and could be heard giggling away as he read the names of the elves. He would read it independently and some nights we would curl up in bed and would read a few pages to him.
He enjoyed how the toys were made by the elves as it was so original.
Amazing plot and so imaginative.

We're only 5 chapters in, but my 6-year-old, 8-year-old and I are absolutely gripped.  The Christmasaurus is a joy to read. It's very amusing and my boys have enjoyed finding out just how big Santa's bottom is!   The characters are great and each night leaves us wanting to read just a bit more than we should.   It's brilliant! Even after Christmas!

We are about a third of the way through and are loving it . Great characters and continues the humour that his earlier picture books had ( which we also loved !) . I am reading with my six year old and it is challenging for him but he really likes it and the illustrations and songs break it up nicely.

I have never come back to post a second review but Alex has not had his nose out of this book nor has he stopped raving about it. He is insistent that his dad and I both read it. Best book ever he is saying. When I Have asked him why he says because Tom Has used really good words.

I read this book to my twin cousins when they come over to stay and they absolutely love it. Tom's humour in the book just brings such a fun bedtime story, especially with the names of the elves and Tom's wacky way of writing. The book exaggerates Tom's massive imagination and it is a firm favourite now with my cousins, always asking to read it again.

I read this book rather than letting my daughter read it as I didn't want there to be any chance of the magic of Father Christmas being spoilt....how silly was I? Of course Tom Fletcher wouldn't allow that to happen and would, in fact, only add to the magic of Christmas.
I love this book and felt like I was in the story feeling every emotion with a wonderful picture in my mind of all of the settings. There are twists and turns right to the end that make in unputdownable!
Amazing book!

I started to read this at the beginning of December my mum had bought me this as she thought I would like it. It had me hooked from the beginning and kept me wanting more. So if you love dinosaurs, rhyming elves,  big bottomed father Christmas's , a hero or two, several baddies and lots of twists and turns then this is a book for you. Be prepared to laugh out loud!
I like reading and liked the way there were pictures mixed with the text.
