We are fans of Judith Kerr so when we saw this book in the library we picked it up. Matty was poorly and had to stay in bed rather than go to a birthday party for the Queen. While he watches his family head out and while his grandpa sleeps, he hears the voice of a crocodile from under the bed inviting him to a party. He has a fanastic time with all the other animals at the party, much better than his family had. I can imagine this being a really good book to read if your little one has to miss something because they are inwell. I love when books show how powerful your imagination can be. Both my two enjoyed this book.
