I thought it was really good because I got some information about how much it could hurt running around and you could very badly rub your nails on the pitch and have to go to a podiatrist. I also really like the adventures the characters (Alex ' Bellinhos' Bellos and Ben 'the pen' Lyttleton) went on and the jokes they told. They also went to matches and watched football on the tv. I would recommend this book to anyone aged 7 upwards. (Zackariah, aged 9)

My little boy is a big football fan, this is the first of these books that we have read. He really enjoyed it, it's a different way of learning through football. Full of quizzes facts and more, he liked reading about his hero Messi too. Great book and I'm sure we will be getting more.

This book is fantastic for getting more reluctant readers interested in reading, especially the boys who always choose football related non-fiction books.  I love the layout, there is a mixture of stories facts and quizzes but they are also humorous. While these books contain the more unusual football facts, they cover other subjects too. I particularly enjoyed reading about the origins of the coin toss.

I was so pleased when this book landed on my doorstep. The series is new to myself but with three football-loving children I knew that it would be a hit!

The book has text and lots of illustrations which adds to the humour and fun feel of the book.

This book will teach you lots of interesting things, including how your foot works (think ligaments, tendons etc), facts about football kits, as well as all the different animals that different teams in Africa use for their names.

This isn't a boring book and I'm sure you will learn lots of new things!

Great book for football mad children. Full of different types of writing; facts and stories. This book is great for encouraging those who would chose football over reading to read.

A must have for any footie fan.  There's a great mix of fun facts, quizzes, stories, science (there's even a cake recipe!)
It's evenly peppered with illustrations and there's a nice mix of longer reads and bite sized chunks!
Another great book from the Football School series.
