This is funny!! It’s a day to day diary of a dogs life over the Christmas period. The book had my mum and I laughing! My favourite part was when the dog put a doll in the turkeys bottom and mum cooked it! I loved every part of this book. Also the illustrations are brilliant.

This book is so funny! It's really easy to read and i read it really quickly, i shared some of the story with my mum and we were laughing out loud at some of the things Junior got up to, the funny names he calls things and his names for his 'pet humans'. The pictures in the book are really funny as well. The story follows Junior the dogs diary over the holiday season and he tries to understand all the funny things we do to celebrate.
I can't wait to read more of his adventures now.

What a great book! The children were laughing out loud throughout this story and thoroughly enjoyed it. They loved the plot and the way it was written. A great addition to our classroom library and children are now reading it again independently.

My daughter really enjoyed reading this book. The illustrations helped to connect with the story and the print was a good size for a 7 y.o to read.  The activities at the end were also a good idea.  I am now going to look out for other books in the collection for her to read.

What an awesome book. We have never laughed so much through a book. It's a book told from the point of view of a dog, and he's talking to us as the reader. It's hilarious, and the view of the world through dogs eyes is great. My boys favourite bit was when the dog put the plastic doll in the turkey and then the mum cooked it. We all laughed so much and enjoyed it loads. We read it all in one morning as none of us wanted to stop.

This book is hilarious! It had us laughing out loud in many places! It is easy for young ones to follow, but with enough of a story to keep older children engaged, the perfect balance!

Join Junior Catch - A - Doggy - Bone as the Crisp mouth holidays when saint Lick may be bringing lots of presents. But there are lots of ups and downs for Junior, especially when saint lick might be casting an evil plan to drop raindeer poos down the chimney ... I really enjoyed this but I would recommend it to ages 8+. it is an adventure and diary book with lots of pictures. I found this book funny as it has changed lots of normal english words into dog related words. which characters are a normal old human family. This book made me feel excited and I really enjoyed it.

This was a really funny book to read together and had us laughing and shouting at the book.
The book is written from the perspective of the family dog who is experiencing the festive season for the first time.
It has short chapters in time chunks and funny illustrations throughout which add to the story.
I have only given it 4 stars as it was difficult for my Son to read himself and because it was Americanised and written in doggy words which he found difficult to read and understand himself.
It was the first dog diaries book we have read and would consider reading further books, we would just be aware that we would need to read them together, due to the language used.
