Superkitty is a small but daring kitty, underestimated by colleagues but who faces adversity and wins in the most surprising way!

The illustrations are bold and bright, the characters are entertaining and the story is really fun. I really liked the style of the story and the vocabulary used was great for expanding young minds being completely different to any other children's book we've read. Best of all the book suits both boys and girls well. We love it.

SUPERKITTY is a lovely big book, with absolutely super illustrations, so it would really suit being read aloud to a small group of children. I particularly liked turning the book round to get the full effect of the tall Sky Tower that Superkitty has to climb!

On first read, some of the vocabulary seems a bit obscure e.g. ‘nefarious’ and ‘diabolical’ but it actually suits the book’s theme of ‘superheroes’ and children do love the sound of unusual words...

SUPERKITTY sends out a great message to us all and has a very satisfying ending. I would definitely recommend!

A lovely story about how we shouldn't let other people's expectations of us dictate how we live our lives.
A cute little kitten dreams of being a superhero but isn't allowed to join the team.  However, when the other superheroes are distracted it is left to Superkitty to defeat Nefarious Norman, a bone-stealing dog.
It's a lovely book to read together with a fantastic moral of following your dreams.

Superkitty is a brilliant story of a small cat who wishes to be part of the Sensational Superheroes but is always left with the boring jobs as he's too small and cute to be a superhero. The children absolutely loved this book. They love pretending to be superheroes so I thought they'd enjoy reading about Superkitty and that it would be great at making them think about judging people and their abilities and it is such a great way to do so. None of the children thought kitty shouldn't be able to join in because he was small and cute. Something great for them to learn as a lot of the time the children unintentionally exclude children in games because they think they're too young when they are no different in age and so it'll be nice to remind them of Superkitty if they forget that we should allow everyone to take part regardless so they can have a go. The children loved it when they all set off on the mission and found it funny seeing all the animals getting distracted, we would let them guess which animal was distracted on each page before reading and they particularly loved finding bear (I won't spoil what he was up to though!) The characters in the book are fantastic and it was great that they all had different strengths and personalities as it shows that everyone is different and the children liked how they were animals as it was easy to recognise which character was being talked about in the story. The illustrations in the book are fantastic, from the bright and colourful superhero agency to the darker blue colours of the nights end of the mission, they were the perfect contrast and set the book beautifully. Seeing the animals is always fun for the children too.
I think the highest praise for Superkitty comes from a child today. We read it before the weekend but today (Monday) the child asked for a story at snack, as they often do, and so I headed off to the box of library books and before I'd even picked any books up she said "no, we don't want those books, we want the Superkitty one!" I think we'll be reading this book daily at snack for a long time, I am so pleased that they all enjoyed the book so much, even those that aren't always bothered about books and would rather be playing!

This book is about a kitten who wants to be a superhero like the other animals in the book. He is laughs at by the other animals when he says this. The kitten eventually provides them wrong.

This book is perfect in putting the message across to follow your dreams and don’t let other peoples perceptions put you off.

This is going to be a book that is read over and over again

A wonderful story about a little kitten who works for the big superheroes and is only allowed to answer the phone. One day she sees her opportunity to show everyone she is really a Superkitty. This book is exciting and engaging for young readers. Jack especially loved the descriptions of the villain and the illustrations of superkitty chasing him. Definitely a book I would recommend.

This is a fabulous, fun story about not underestimating the little guy. Super Kitty may be the smallest of the superheroes but is no less able to save the day! We loved reading this book and my daughter particularly liked the names of the characters. It's a fast-paced story with lots going on but most of all we loved the message that just because you're small doesn't mean you can't be mighty!

Lovely story. Showing how we all play a part but it’s not always an obvious one. It’s a funny story that gets the children laughing. Great illustrations to keep the children entertained along the way.
