Leo loved this latest installment featuring more of The World's Worst Children. Tony Ross' colourful illustrations were brilliantly funny and Leo really enjoyed the different styles of text used throughout each page. This is a great book for both fans of the series and for those that haven't read the other titles.

I'm writing this as F's parent as he absolutely devoured this book over a weekend. F is six (but very advanced reader) and loved this book so much that it was hard to get him to do anything else, including playing Forza which is his most favourite thing in the world. Ever. I picked the book up at the beginning of a weekend and he had read the whole thing, cover to cover, by Sunday evening. Since then he has had both me and his Dad read selected stories to him. I will most certainly be getting the first two of this series for him - and put them away ready for when he needs to have some relaxed time (being a 6 year old boy, being still for any length of time longer than 2 milliseconds is a challenge!).

The book holds various stories of children who get up to dastardly deeds and / or have terrible behaviour. Walliams takes it just to the edge and then pulls it back, which delights and enthrals my son. The illustrations are also great - and F likes to talk about how he is not like specific characters in the book. Fabulous and recommend wholeheartedly. If you like Roald Dahl, you'll like David Walliams.

This was the first worlds worst children book I have read. I think the stories are hilarious! It was gross like when the boy made a triangle of bogies, eventually he ended up turning into a giant bogie!. There was a giant baby called Herbert which was really funny.  It was good because I love David Walliams. The characters in the book were very funny and every story was different. Raj was also in some of the stories and I like the way David Walliams writes him into all the books he writes.
I read this book then mummy bought it as an audio book so she could listen to it in the car with us (because secretly mummy loves David Walliams too!)

Worlds Worst Children is my favourite book of all the David Walliams collection. My favourite chapter is Boonie Bossypants and my least is the terrible triplets. Bonnie Bossypants is about a girl who boss`s people around like teachers, parents, friends , brother and her family. When Boonie sent her mum and dad to their room she told her brother to clean the table, clean the dishes and stop playing with his yo yo. Boonie always took their bed and her poor mum and dad had to squise into her single bed. When Boonie was at school her mum called wonder nanny. boonie heard a knock on the door and told her parents to open the door but they didn`t. She opened it herself and saw wonder nanny. Boonie said that she was here fore her little brother bu wonder nanny said she was here for her. Her catch phrase is naughty children better watch out when wonder nanny is about. wonder nanny took out a trantula from her pocket she got scared and never be naughty again.

I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading it.
This is an excellent book in the humour genre.
The illustrations add to the stories.
I am already looking forward to the sequel if David Walliams writes one. Are you reading this, David Williams?

Alex and I love reading David Walliams books we both laugh together at the dreadful tales he tells so wonderfully.

Alex received this as a gift as he has read all of the books now and he was so excited to read this one! Sometimes I cringe at some of the words used in the book as my son is only just about to turn 8 and I do sometimes wonder if he even knows the meaning of some of these words yet but he seems to understand.....

As always the books have a certain amount of short stories detailing the terrible habits of yet again several children. Always  firm favourite in our household that we like to read over and over again! The triplets were our particular favourites this time around as they all tried to out do one another with the grubbiest of habits.

I could not believe there was a book 3 in the collection, but came as no surprise it was just as funny as the first one. You come across more characters who will have you laughing. We loved the triplets at the beginning who just had to put do each other and what happens to them in the end had us in fits of laugher. Another one is about a girl who treats her parents awfully and they end up calling super nanny who comes to save the day but it doesn’t stop there .... a must read for everyone who loves David Williams books

I'm giving this book 5 stars because it was really funny and all of the stories had funny parts in them.  My favourite story was Vain Valentine because he looked in all the mirrors all the time and wore sunglasses all the time because he liked looking at himself - a bit like me!
At the start of each story he always put a really funny thing like, 'the terrible triplets have done really naughty things like throwing a whiteboard at the teacher!' so the start was really funny.
I like David Walliams and these short stories are good because you can just read one at a time and the book is colourful.

Ten tales of horrendous children in one book...! These are great for reading as the wording is imaginatively set out, with lots of words in bood, larger text or in swirly lines that guide you in the rhythm of the words. And the Tony Ross illustrations are brilliant at capturing the impishness of the featured characters. However - while my son did enjoy the stories, personally I felt that they lacked (date I say it?!) a certain 'X' factor. I find David Walliams books a bit hit and miss (and clearly I am in a minority here).

About David Walliams

David Walliams has become one of Britain’s best-selling children’s book authors, often compared to Roald Dahl in his writing style. He writes three types of books: full-length fiction, short stories and picture books and all are illustrated. Generally I'd recommend his picture books for all ages, his...
