Buckle up and jump on board for the funniest, most EXPLOSIVE picture book of the year - you'll want to read it again and again-o! Join two intrepid explorers as they take a train-o, jump on a plane-o, ride a Great Dane-o (down the lane-o) on their way to look at the volcano. Nothing could possibly go wrong - could it?! A hilariously anarchic rhyming story from multi-award-winning author Andy Stanton. Andy has won a string of awards for his Mr Gum books, including the Red House Children's Book Award, the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, and the Blue Peter Book Award for Best Book With Pictures (twice). Miguel Ordonez is the illustrator of the New York Times bestselling Your Baby's First Word Will Be Dada , written by Jimmy Fallon, the Emmy and Grammy award-winning host of NBC's The Tonight Show .

A really funny book it made us laugh. Good large illustrations throughout the book. A character guide at the back of the book. The rhyming was good. As soon as it was read the first time I was asked to read it again straight away.

This was a good rhyming book, my little boy read this with me. He found it easy to follow and lots of fun. The illustrations are great too and really add to the story. A fun trip to the volcano.

My daughter loves this fantastic rhyming book, I read it once and then she wanted me to read it again and again. Now she reads it to me... and daddy. We talk about the pictures and she loved finding Roger the colour changing cat on each page. The characters are quirky and colourful. I would definitely recommend this funny rhyming story.

This is a fun book to read for parents and Logan loved it.  There are lots of characters that go on a trip to a volcano and every page is full of lots of different small details for little children to pick up.  Logan saw this book after school and wanted to read it immediately, he asked for it twice more in the space of an hour and wanted it again at bedtime so safe to say, he loves it!  The names of all the many characters are at the end of the book too, there is one name that will make parents seem human to children who are learning to read (if you read the book you'll see!), and the names are very imaginative and funny.

This is a fun book. The illustrations are bold and the text is written in rhyme and uses repetition . If your children love volcanos then they will adore this funny book. It is worth a read.

Good illustrations but didn’t find the story as funny as I thought I would. The repetition was quite boring. I thought them all ending up in hospital came as a bit of a shock too maybe not so good for little kids at bedtime! It was easy to read, fun and colourful.
