Raj and Dad are going on an adventure. They are both very excited and they plan a list of all the things they will do.

But then, disaster strikes! Dad has left his wallet at home and Raj thinks their day will be ruined. But maybe Raj and Dad can still have a perfect day. All they need is their imaginations and each other's company.

This picture book celebrates the relationship between a dad and his son with warm, tender artwork from the illustrator of Spinderella.

A really great book. My daughter loves this book, she made me read it 2 days in a row. She even read a few pages to me.

The story is sweet, about a father and son who spend the day together having an adventure and when things don’t go to plan they make the most of it and have the best day ever!

The illustrations are perfect and very interactive. Full of things to see and bright colours. One of our favourites!

The book is based on a dad who takes his son out for the day but his plans change as he forgets his wallet. The read is representative of imaginative play and spending quality time with your child. It's a reminder that playing alongside your little ones can be the most memorable times of all regardless of having your wallet with you or not.
We love this book!

This brightly illustrated picture book tells the story of an Adventure Day for young Raj & his Dad.
Raj excitedly makes a list of all the things they're going to do, they pack a bag & set off to the library,
Raj chooses a book to borrow but Dad can't find his wallet, so their plans won't happen.
Raj thinks it will be the worst day ever & it's even raining!
However, the two of them go to the park & have a wonderful time using their imaginations to create all the things on the list.
I loved this 'lots going on' book, as did my 8 & 5 year old grandchildren, a delightful example of the fun you can have without spending any money...plus there's a nice little surprise at the end.

Loved this book! Quite a long length but easy for children to follow. Gives great tips of what to do if we find ourselves in a similar situation! I really recommend this book, you’ll be smiling by the end of it. Delightful!!

Read this book to my 7 year old step daughter who loves having days out with her daddy when she is here. Thought the book would relate as he often loses his wallet! Well she loved the story and related to it so well. We loved how bright the colours were and the illustrations. She said "this book reminds me of daddy and its really fun". The characters just related so well to them. Great and fun story and will definately be read to my other 3 children soon!

What a fantastic book to remind us all that things don’t always go right.
Raj and his dad plan the best day ever but dad forgets his wallet and the day turns in to amazing adventures following their list.
Brilliant fun illustrations with at the beginning a great map showing where they will visit. My daughter is really coming on with her reading and loved the way this book had different writing and writing all over the pages especially the speak bubbles it really brought story time alive is both reading together with a book that had so much to look for.

A fun book about how to have fun even when things go wrong. I think this is perfect for my little girl who struggles to see the silver lining sometimes. When dad forgets his wallet he and Raj have to make some changes to their super awesome day, and it turns out to be even better. Lots to notice in the pictures and we will be off to the park to do some of Raj's fun activities too.

I read this book To Sophie, aged 2. It's a lovely large colourful book. The first opening two pages is a map with a list of what Raj and dad are going to do that day, a very long list. Dad thinks he has forgotten his wallet, but they have an amazing fun day with no cost at all, plenty  of adventures. This is lovely, fun and reality. We loved it. Sophie really loved the characters. Would love to read more of these books. Simple story line to follow but packed full of adventure.

This is a lovely book with a good moral to the story. It tells of Raj and his dad who plan a ‘best day ever’ action packed day out but then unfortunately dad forgets his wallet and it looks like the day is ruined but thankfully it isn’t. This story shows how good things can always happen even when you least expect them and my son really enjoyed both the story and the lovely bright pictures in this book.

This is a really lovely heart warming book and yet amusing at the very same time. Ray and his dad are going on an adventure one day however not everything goes as they planned. There is a good lesson that we don't need money to find happiness. The time we spend together is priceless. Children often see their fathers as unstoppable heroes - and Ray proves that it's true:)

My daughter loves to look at the pictures over and over after I have read the book to her, and I'm sure this will be a firm favourite in our selection of bedtime books.

This was a fun, bright story and would be perfect for a parent and child to share together. It starts with a list of what Raj and his dad think will make the best day ever, but it doesn't quite go to plan when Dad forgets his wallet! They're busy changing their plans when it starts to rain and they rush for shelter in a bus stop. They make their own fun until the rain has stopped before heading for the park. Raj's dad shows him how to use the things in the park to make a boat, and make art before they have a picnic. They keep checking the list, until they're having so much fun they don't notice when it disappears! Despite numerous things happening that could potentially spoil the day, will Raj and his dad still have a great day?  I'm going to give this book to my brother to share with my niece. They love to share books together and I know he'll love the story and she'll love the bright pictures. They may be able to create a similar kind of day themselves on one of their adventures, though I hope my brother wouldn't be as forgetful as Dad!
