I really liked this book. I liked all the characters. It was funny had lots of jokes in it. I have read other books by James Patterson and they are all very good. This is now my favourite. Great book.

Another brilliant book written by James Patterson! This time we meet Jamie Grimm who is the most funny kid comedian in America. At least that's what he thought till he heard about his biggest rival Vasily from Russia with whom he's going to compete in the international kid comedian contest. The book is full of jokes, trips to diffrent countries and amazing funny children from all around the world. What I like about the book is that it pictures the child in wheelchair  interacting with other children/people. The author shows to his readers that they can interact and have fun with other kids even when they are wheelchair bound. I think there should be more books like this!!

We really enjoyed this. It's the first book in the series we've read and I was worried it wouldn't work as a stand alone as there have been so many predecessors but it was absolutely fine.
We learn snippets of the backstories as we go along but it's all quite subtle.
Jamie Grimm is the king of comics in the US, riding high with his own TV show and everything. There is a slight niggle in the back of his head though that he's got there courtesy of a sympathy vote (because he's in a wheelchair). When the network head announces that they plan a competition to find the world's funniest kid he has the chance to show whether his clean cut brand of comedy is enough to keep him on the top spot.
The book is liberally peppered with illustrations and there are LOADS of jokes. All kid friendly jokes as well - chuckles galore from start to finish.
We'll need to go back and discover the previous books now!

This is the funniest book that I have ever read.  I like that Gilda is in love with Jamie. I also like Hamish, a blind boy, but he is so funny, he makes fun of himself and when someone says "Hey, look at that" or "Look at that the sky is red"  or similar he just says I'll take your word for it.  I also like Vasily a mean Russian boy who is out to be funnier than Jamie Grimm.

I thought this book was so funny, one of the funniest I’ve ever read actually. I’ve never read any James Patterson books before but I’ll definitely be reading more now as this book was so good. It’s perfect for anyone who loves funny books.

I really liked the comedy in the book. The singing on the bus was good. I liked Hamish - he funny and Jamie is always happy. They have a great relationship.

The book was a bit sad at times but it made me laugh too. It's full of adventure which makes you smile.

This is the best I Funny book in the series, it has a good story line and plot that make you want to read on. It's a comedy with really good jokes, lots of them funny! Hamish is a really good character, he is blind but doesn't get down because of it, he still wants to do things. The illustrations are good and the book will make you smile and laugh.

My 8 year old son enjoyed reading this book. He finds this series relaxing to read as it doesn’t challenge him too much, has an easy print and fun pictures but is also interesting enough to hold his attention. A good balance so he reads for pleasure

We found this book more geared to 10year old. It looked appealing & set off well but It was to advanced in lots of the humour. Either that or it didn't suit our humour. It is well presented & easily read. We will try it again in a few years.
