It's Mr Large's birthday and Mrs Large has prepared him a meal, as they're going to celebrate with a quiet night in. But as usual in the Large household, things don't go to plan, and Mr and Mrs Large fall asleep on the sofa. So the little Larges sneak off to bed with all the lovingly prepared food.

A lovely book which as a parent is very easy to relate to!

Beautiful illustrations and I love how all the characters try to work together to have an early night to let Mrs Large celebrate Mr Large's Birthday.

The book is a story that shows how after walking all day, Mr Large is tired and can't help but fall asleep and how Mrs Large is busy trying to get the children to bed so that they can have a special meal and in the end the parents fall asleep and the children are the ones that tuck them into bed!

Lovelym heartwarming story.
