Aprons on, recipes at the ready - it's time for the biggest, bestest, bunniest baking competition. Only - who is this strangely dressed contestant?!

Quentin is a wolf with a very unusual hobby. He loves to bake! So when he accidentally receives an invitation to take part in a Great Bunny Baking competition he'll do anything to enter. Masterfully disguised (ahem) as a bunny, Quentin sails through round after round with his peerless pastry and heavenly honeybun tower. But soon he has to contend with a jealous fellow contestant. And when he slips and drops his Showstopping Chocolate Cake it looks like all his work has been in vain . . .

But all is not as it seems in this tale of hidden identity , bravura baking and unexpected kindness .

An irresistible picture book from fabulous new talent, Ellie Snowdon, with witty text and stunning classic-yet-contemporary illustrations.

A truly sweet little book with gorgeous illustrations.  The lonely wolf is simply fantastic at baking and the story tells about how wearing a disguise he enters a baking competition organised by some bunnies.

Obviously the outcome initially is to be expected when his true identity is discovered but the storyline sends the message that it is ok to be friends with people that maybe it appears you shouldn't be.

Charming tale, great art, highly recommended

I received this in the giveaway and my daughter was so excited to read it. The illustrations are lovely and add to the story. She loved it being set in a baking competition and seeing if the Wolf would get found out. The ending was lovely and has a great message of friendship, it wasn't what we expected- in a good way.

This book is just lovely about a lonely wolf who loves to bake but has no one to share it with, until he gets a invite through his door about a baking competition for bunnies so he goes to his dressing up box and becomes a bunny. He does very well until he falls with his best chocolate cake and he’s not a bunny anymore..... but in the end a lovely friendship comes.
Beautiful pictures lovely story

This is a lovely story, my daughter made us read it 3 nights in a row. She was pointing pictures and read along with the parts she knew.
The illustrations were lovely and the story was great. I loved that the wolf made a new friend and that the rabbits all helped the wolf needed it

I shared this book with my two year old niece who found the pictures really interesting. She loved the rabbits and the wolf. She didn’t really understand the storyline but found it funny when the wolf dress up as a rabbit.
I am going to try it with a pre class so children 3-4 as think this will be a fab book for them. And shows you can make friends with anyone if you given it chance. The wolf just wanted to share his baking with a friend.

This book is brilliant! Combined with the very sweet, detailed pictures and simple (but not boring) text, really appeals. This is a delightful tale of a lonely wolf who loves to bake and little bunnies who organised baking competition. A simple children`s book but stunningly profound. Perfect for encouraging little ones to be interested in books. My daughter absolutely adores it!

What a lovely book.  The story is simple and sweet and very identifiable to those of us who are fans of the ‘GBBO’. Beautifully illustrated. We loved Quentin and his baking efforts. Recommended

What a truly beautiful book with lovely illustrations.
Quentin is a wolf who loves to bake. He loves chocolate cake and wants someone to share them with.
One day he gets a letter inviting him to take part in the bunny bake off.
What fun a wolf in disguise, lots of cakes and fun.

So much for little eyes to look at and point at, exciting statements to keep listening and such a fun book.
Both my girls loved this book.

Both my daughters loved this book (3 year old and a 6 year old). They liked the Wolf and enjoyed seeing him bake in the competition. It is a really simple read, my 6 year old was able to read it to her sister and she was able to join in with different parts too! They loved the beautiful illustrations. We would all recommend this book.

Really lovely story which is based around the great British bake off. The illustrations are fantastic and in great detail. My daughter who is a little over 2 hasn’t sat through the whole story once. We tend to read a bit and look into detail at the pictures. I would recommend this book for over 2’s. However as an adult reading this book, I love it!

Georgie loves baking cakes and so I thought she would like this book, but, I have to say, it was a bit disappointing for us both,
The story happened too quickly and there wasn’t time to think about what had happened. The disguise was, according to Georgie, not good enough which made it less believable to her.
We liked the message that the book was trying to give, but doubt it will become a favourite.
