From the fabulous partnership of award-winning author Jim Helmore and the brilliant Richard Jones comes a stunning book about friendship.

When Caro and her mum move to a new house, Caro becomes lonely. There's only so much exploring she can do by herself! It's not long though before she makes a new friend - The Snow Lion. He's as white as snow, and together they have fun playing hide and seek, chasing and sliding. However, it's soon time for Caro to venture out on her own . . .

With a slighty magical, classic feel and a lovely message, The Snow Lion is a story which will appeal to children and parents alike, and the beautiful illustrations make this a book to treasure.

This beautiful book arrived this afternoon. As an adult I was captivated by the story and how the snow lion is hidden by all the white in the house. I worried that LJ who is only 2 might not be engaged with the more pastel coloured pages ... needn't have worried she loved it and it quickly became  a game to her of finding the lion. The story is about friendship and confidence and whilst she is not old enough yet to understand the whole story she hugged me when Caro hugs the lion and knows that the little girl is special. What a joy of a book.

This is a lovely book about a young girl who finds comfort and reassurance in a white snow lion. The storyline is that she sees the snow lion in the white walls of her home but as she goes out and makes more friends the colour in her house and life makes her see the lion outside in the snow. It had a real comforting feel to the book which many children will enjoy and relate to. The lion was always there looking over her in the clouds, she just had to look up. The only thing I would point out is that I felt this probably is aimed at older children to fully understand the message of the story. But my one year old boy eniyed looking at the lovely illustrations.

Me and my daughter Olivia-Rose loved reading this, it is a story of a little girl Caro moving house and finding a new friend, a white lion, it has such a beautiful message behind it of growing confidence and friendships. The illustrations in the book I wasn't expecting my little girl to be too taken with as it's all lots of white and creams but she turned it into a game trying to find the lion which I thought was lovely and makes it more than just a story. We really loved this and have already had to read it at least 10 times since it arrived because she enjoys it

What a lovely book, with a message inside. It started when Caro moved to a new house with her mum. Caro began to get lonely and wished she had someone to play with. Then she found The snow lion. She was happy playing with him. Until the lion encouraged her to play in the park with the boy who had waved at her.Caro enjoyed playing with the boy and went to his house. But she missed the lion. They had a painting party to make the house colourful, but she couldn't see the lion anymore. But he told her he would always be watching. A perfect book for those moving to a new house, or to encourage your child to make friends. Katie enjoyed the book even though she is a little young, she enjoyed looking at the pictures and making weeeeee sounds going down the slide and the roar of the lion.

The book read nicely and I loved the snow lion character. Not one my daughter can enjoy just yet but it's a good story for the future. It's a reassuring story for little ones as the lion helps settle the little girl into her new home and then encourages her to play with new friends.

Covers making friends and being out of your comfort zone. My daughter likes the illustrations, my son percieves it as a sad book - not sure if due to the calm illustrations or the content or both. A good book to use as a conversation starter regarding making friends.

This book really was beautiful. The illustrations and the story made this a joy to read and would make the perfect addition to any bedtime bookshelf. The book itself focuses around Caro, who is a really lovely character for school aged children to relate to, especially as it focuses on the idea of friendships in new situations. The only downside to this book is that it was slightly out of Samuel's age range so I think it would suit a 2+ age range better. Overall however, as a family we really enjoyed this book and Viola has asked for it to be read on several occasions.

A sweet story about a girl and her imaginary friend the snow lion. She has moved house with her Mum and is very shy to make new friends so stays inside with the "Snow Lion" but he slowly encourages her to make friends.
For some reason my daughter hasn't really taken to this book.
