This book is an excellent book for children getting confident with their reading. My daughter (6) and i read this book together. It's about a girl called Zoey and her cat Sassafras. They help heal magical creatures, in this book it's a baby dragon. You can tell the author has a science background and the book introduces things like hypotheses and experiments too. It has a glossary too at the end. We loved it. It's totally different from other books available for girls at this age and quite frankly, i would skip those and go straight for this. It's very good.
