An excellent rhyming story using a very good range of vocabulary. It's a story about a chocolate monster that eats all the chocolate but people rather than the monstet get the blame. My daughter found it funny and she loved the illustrations. The chocolate monster is purple and looks cuddly too. We really enjoyed it.

Pip Jones rhyming again, hooray! The Chocolate Monster has the same character as in Daddy's Sandwich. In this story we learn there's a Chocolate Monster on the loose, going round stealing everyone's chocolate treats! Of course there is! Very funny illustrations my daughter cackled at, especially the Chocolate Monster's silly disguises, and his hand smearing chocolate around the kids' faces.

We loved Daddy's Sandwich by Pip Jones and Laura Jones so were excited to find this in the library. The Chunk is on the prowl for chocolate and will stop at nothing for it. No food is safe - birthday cake, chocolate fountains. Written in rhyme and in the style of a public service announcement on the news, it's a very funny book perfect for little chocolate lovers. Brilliant illustrations with lots of fun details.
