A splendiferous new hardback of THE BFG, part of a collection of truly delumptious classic Roald Dahl titles with stylish jackets over surprise printed colour cases, and exquisite endpaper designs. On a dark, silvery moonlit night, Sophie is snatched from her bed by a giant.
Luckily it is the Big Friendly Giant, the BFG, who only eats snozzcumbers and glugs frobscottle.
But there are other giants in Giant Country.
Fifty foot brutes who gallop far and wide every night to find human beans to eat.
Can Sophie and her friend the BFG stop them? Let's hope so - otherwise the next child a gruesome giant guzzles could be YOU. Now you can listen to THE BFG and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including KatelWinslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there are added squelchy soundeffects from Pinewood Studios! Also look out for new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play- including the disgusting TWIT OR MISS! and HOUSE OF TWITS inspired by the revolting Twits.

I loved this story. There are so many funny things that happen in it. The giant is my favourite character and I love all the funny words he has for things. I think the book was better than the film but the film is good also. This book is great for boys and girls.

This book is a absolutely fantastic, you are transported to a world of fantasy where everything is bigger (though not always better).  I love the way the characters of the bfg and Sophie become friends, it shows children that for all we can be very different it doesn't mean we can't be friends.  My daughter loves the fact the little girl is called Sophie as that is her name too so it helps her to relate to the book.  It's a great book to read and escape the humdrum of everyday like, a children's book but a classic that I at age 34, still love to read!

With there being so much in the media from the Ronald Dahl celebrations, my 5yo daughter was very keen to read The BFG. It is quite perilous (when the BFG first goes from bedroom to bedroom at night) and gory (talking about the blood bottler) at times and so I chose to tweak the language in places, as I didn't want her having nightmares! With this, she really enjoyed the story. She can read the full version later on.

I won this book at school for the best costume on roald dahl day. It's taken me a long time to read as I don't really like reading but it is a good story. I preferred the films, but my little sister likes me reading this book to her at bedtime.
