Puppy Love is a really good book, the Animal Shelter that Brandon volunteers at (how cute is he?) has run out of room and there is no where to look after 7 adorable puppies.. well not entirely no where, Nikki has room.. maybe!
In a quest to look after but also hide 7 puppies from her parents, her school and the mean girl, MacKenzie, Nikki is in for a ruff (rough) ride!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Puppy Love and i would recommend it for fellow Dork Diaries lovers and those new to the the series. As always Rachel Renee Russell puts in a lot of good humour.
I love, i mean LOVE the Dork Diaries series. I was very reluctant to start reading them as they weren't my usual cup of tea but the diary style of books came up in my monthly book club and we all had to read books in a diary format. As soon as i started reading about Nikki and her life i absolutely fell in love with the story and writer, Rachel Renee Russell.
This book is the latest in the series (before the next one is released), however you don't really need to read them in order if you just want to read one story as they can be read as stand alone books.
I found the characters engaging, the story was well paced and i love the doodles in Nikki's diary, i feel they really help the story along. It's a really funny story in which Nikki details what her life is like predominately at school, which is safe to say that as a dork, is not without it's antagonists!
