Julia Donaldson's much-loved story now in beautiful board book form.

Julia Donaldson's beloved rhyming picture book story about two monkeys who are as different as night and day yet still learn to be friends - with adorable, sumptuous illustrations from Lucy Richards. This gorgeous board book is perfect for baby's bedtime.

Night Monkey and Day Monkey don't think they have much in common. But when they each spend time in the other's opposite worlds, they learn a lot - and they also learn to be the best of friends. Little hands will love turning the pages of this beautiful board book. The perfect storytelling experience for babies and toddlers.

One of the finest stories from Julia Donaldson, the author behind The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, The Scarecrow's Wedding and What the Ladybird Heard. Full of fun and food for thought, Night Monkey, Day Monkey is beautifully illustrated by Lucy Richards.

A lovely rhyming book exploring differences between day and night. This book has lovely illustrations that are engaging and bright. It explores the natural world. I love how each of the monkeys explain what they see through things that they know (a banana flying -the moon, moths with make up - butterflies). Both monkeys enjoy the other's world but then stick to their own and meet up at sunrise!

Day monkey explores the night and all of the wonderful sights and sounds, like fireflies and twinkly stars. Night monkey explores the bright lights of the day, beautiful butterflies and shadows too. At the end of the story they both come together at sunrise when it's not quite dark and not quite light - just right. This book was great to read to my son and we thought of lots of other day/night animals. The rhythm and rhyme makes this book a favourite to read again and again :)

This beautifully illustrated book is so fun and easy to read. The rhyme is very catchy and my 4 year old loves choosing if she'll be the night or day monkey every time we read it. It also introduces kids to what sort of animals you can find during the day or night. I'd dare say I like it more than The Gruffalo!

This is definitely our new favourite!

We liked the cute pictures in this book and the ideas that there is so much the monkeys don't know about just because they get up at different times. We liked the fact that night monkey found the day creepy just like we sometimes find the night, and that there were simple explanations for what they didn't understand. Another fab Julia Donaldson story.

This book is a story about two monkeys, one who is awake in the day and the other at night. It's a lovely rhyming story about what they get up to and the differences between day and night. Its a brightly illustrated book that gets read over and over in our house.

I would like to give this book four stars. This is because I liked how the monkeys played with each other. I did not like the part when they woke each other up. I enjoyed reading this book and want my brother to read it so he stops waking me UP!

I liked the pictures because they were funny and very colourful. I read this book to myself and then to my mom and dad. I did not find many of the words hard to read and that made it easier for me to read.

I like funny books because they make me laugh and I like books that make me laugh. I would read more books by this author if they were like this one because It was very good to read. I chose this book as my home reading book because I liked the cover and the pictures on the front looked funny. I love the little monkeys, they are so cute.

I love this story, but some part of it extremely silly.
I bought the book with the monkeys on the side, so my daughter loves them and sometimes I read the story, but I think this author has better books.

Another great book from julia Donaldson,  lovely illustration to accompany the rhyming story typical of these books.  This book follows the exploits of night monkey and day monkey, experiencing each other's worlds whilst the other is normally asleep. Find out what day monkey thinks of nighttime and vice versa.  My children have all enjoyed this one and the majority of julia Donaldson's other stories.  So if you're a fan of any of those you'll love this one too

This was a fun book, although I didn't think it was very kind the monkeys kept calling each other "daft" when they didn't know something.
