I like this book because tom's grandma put on a funny hat and because tom put pictures of a band that his sister hates around her room. This made her friends laugh at her.

I really enjoyed this book, my favourite character is tom gates, it was funny when marcus was eating pizza with burn chocolate raisins on, it's a good job Tom was joking.  I did not like the story that was called the very special recipe,

Caramel waters, caramel wafers yum. Tom talks about them a lot in this book. I loooovvee the Tom Gates series they are so cool and this book is just as epic as the others. I like the characters Tom, Derek and Norman. Norman is so so funny. Tom has a crush on a girl called Amy Porter. The drawings are very good and funny in this book. I read this book fast as I couldn't put it down. I think this book is good for boys and girls age 8 and older. I think anyone who likes the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books will love the Tom Gate books.

This was a good book for 7 - 12 year olds. It has lots of doodles, it’s funny and Tom is a brilliant person and there are other great characters. It is easy to read and has clear writing. I am going to read more Tom Gates books!

My daughter bought this book at the weekend and devoured it - she absolutely loved it, along with the others in the series that she has also read.
The mix of illustrations and funny characters make these books ideal for this age group.
