This is the 25th story in the Little Miss collection - though they don't need to be read in order. Little Miss Brainy is renowned for being clever but tires of the "simple questions" she's being asked and goes to visit Cleverland. She has a couple of mishaps, thanks to the solutions she offers some animals in need until she ends up with a lion who asks her what there is to eat. She is quick-witted enough to run home before the lion realises the only thing to eat was her!

My toddlers really enjoy this one; my son finds it really funny that the elephant's trunk is in a knot.

The bright and bold illustrations are a treat for little ones. They complement the text well and help give meaning to the words we're reading. It's even possible to tell the story through the pictures alone.

It's fairly short and takes about 5 minutes to read.

The book is small so a perfect size for little hands; my children are able to handle it independently with ease.
