I like Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as there are a lot of mysteries. It is scary when Ginny is the person doing all the bad stuff.  It is a good book.  It would suit girls and boys aged 9 or above.

Rowling is a fantastic writer and this is just another fantastic book from her collection. Some people just have a gift for writing and her novels are always hard to put down. I have watched all the films but I think the books are better. So now I read the books and watch the films after I have finished the book to see what was taken out.
I like it better than the film. There is more to it. I have found while reading all the Harry Potter books to my son while at the same time going through the movies that they really took liberties with the screen adaptation. I would recommend reading the book even if you weren't blown away by the movie.

My daughter has read this by herself as she is a huge harry potter fan. This is her favourite book of them all. She loves Hermione Granger and the magic and spells. She loves the flying car and Dobby. She said the harry potter books make her create a magical place in her head and she disappears there each time she reads it. She loves ewlatinf the books to the movies.
We read them together all the time as well and the writing style is so imaginatively engrossing it's hard to pit the book down

I got a bit scared when Harry went down to the chamber of secrets and the monster was there. It was better when Harry got the sword and killed the monster. Harry's stopped the monster but can he save Ginny Weasley?

This is the second book in the Harry Potter series and it is just as good as the first if not better.  There are twists in the story and new characters.  I am definitely hooked on these books now

Harry Potter is now officially my favourite series of books! I have watched most of the films and I really wanted to try the books. I think the best character in this book is Dobby the house elf. He tries to stop Harry from going to Hogwarts because he thinks Harry will die there. But Harry and Ron still go. My favourite parts in this are when Harry and Ron drive the flying car into the whomping willow and when Harry gives Dobby a sock at the end of the book. I love this book and I will definatley be reading more soon! Recommended to magic lovers who don’t mind the occasional bit of blood! Age 10 plus.

I have only recently started reading the Harry Potter series and have enjoyed the books far more than the movies. This book sees a great development of the characters whom we already love and has a great mixture of adventure and thrill. Dobby makes his first appearance and along with Harry and my person favourite Hagred. I like the way this story unfolds and going back to read them for a second time you realise how entwined the stories are.

Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets is a bit more scary than the first book because of the basalisk that's petrified people and it can kill you too.  This book has one of my favourite characters in in - Dobby the house elf.

Dobby tries to protect Harry but gets it wrong and it's even more dangerous that Harry and Ron use the flying car to get to Hogwarts.

This book is really good, it's exiting and scary and magic.

this is the second book in the harry potter series and i did not think it would be as good as the philosopher's stone but it is even better.
there is even a flying car and house elf called dobby in this book and it is absolutely amazing
the chamber of secrets is open and there is something trying to kill all the 'mudbloods' children with muggle parents (non magical)
this story is just so good i really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who can read

The story was good but could have been better if there was more mystery to it
My favourite character in this book was Malfoy who made me giggle when he said : i didn't know you could read, to Crab and Goyle, whom allow Malfoy to boss them around.
Classic saying from Malfoy:D
