Lovely story which I enjoyed sharing with my younger grandchildren. The magic of Donaldson's story telling is as great as ever.

My daughter enjoyed this book, she is a big fan of Julia Donaldsons books anyway. Tabby Mctat is the story of a busker's cat. It is a rhyming text, which we liked, and it was a nice length story for young ones. The illustations were detailed and the lots of colours really appealed to my daughter.

My daughter is a huge Julia Donaldson fan and enjoys the classic room on a broom and monkey puzzle. She was attracted to the book by its cover. I thought since starting school this would be a book to move on to. She enjoyed the story about the busker. We discussed all about cats, owners and what makes them happy. The book is very well illustrated and written. She loved the new kittens and happy to see them find the busker and new homes for the kittens. A lovely story enjoyed by us all.

Another classic from Julia  Donaldson! My daughter loves cats, so I knew that this book would be a hit with her. She loved how Tabby sang; she thought it was hilarious that a cat could sing. She felt a bit sad that Tabby and his owner were separated  but enjoyed the adventures that Tabby's had when he was searching for Fred. She especially liked Tabby and his wife having kittens. A wonderful heart-warming book.

We love Julia Donaldson's and Axel Scheffler's books, so I was quite excited to read this story with my son. However the truth is besides the amazing illustrations and an interesting idea for the story, this one is just not like the other ones... My son just didn't seem very engaged in the story.

We love the Julia Donaldson/Axel Scheffler series but Tabby McTat is not one of the favourites.  It's the story of a cat who travels around with his busker friend but they get separated.  Most of the story is about how Tabby looks for the busker but then makes his own life.  My daughter loves animals and enjoys looking at the pictures but so far hasn't engaged with the story.  Sweet but not of the calibre of the Gruffalo, Room on the Broom and Stickman.

My daughter enjoyed this book, especially towards the end when the kittens appeared! She loves rhyming books as she can learn the rhyme scheme and join in, however the rhyme scheme inthis book is not as easy as other Julia Donaldson books so she struggled a little. The book also helped my daughter to understand why she often sees people playing music on the street.
