Mr Tickle is small and round and has arms that stretch and stretch and stretch. So, if you are in any way ticklish, beware those extraordinarily long arms.

The Mr Men and Little Miss have been delighting children for generations with their charming and funny antics. Bold illustrations and funny stories make Mr Men and Little Miss the perfect story time experience for children aged two up. Have you met them all?

It all started with a tickle. Roger Hargreaves' son Adam asked him what a tickle looked like. In response, Roger drew a small orange man with extraordinarily long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone. Mr Tickle, the first of the Mr Men, was born. Mr Tickle was soon joined by Mr Greedy, Mr Happy, Mr Nosey, Mr Sneeze and Mr Bump. The books were an instant hit and Roger went on to create many more Mr Men and Little Miss characters. What Roger really wanted was to make children laugh, which is probably why his own favourite character is Mr Silly.

Possibly our favourite Mr Man book as I always tickle my daughters throughout when I'm reading it and they love it! We laugh together when Mr Tickle tickles the teacher, greengrocer and postman and really wish that we had long arms to get the biscuits in the kitchen too. A lovely book from my childhood that has now become a part of my children's life too, brilliant.

My husband used to read this story to my bump when I was pregnant so it will always have special meaning to us. We both used to read it in our own childhoods so we were keen to read it to our daughter early on! My daughter loves to sit and read this with us and unlike some of the other Mr Men books, she doesn't lose interest in this one - she loves to snuggle up and squeals with laughter when we tickle her.  She also particularly loves the part when Mr Tickle reaches the biscuit (as she'd like to be able to do this) and now says "Mr Tickle" and points at the biscuit tin in the kitchen!

This is the 1st Mr Men book in the collection and one of the best!

Mr Tickle has extraordinary long arms and loves to tickle! He tickles lots of people, from teachers to the postman, much to his own amusement! The story ends by warning young readers that Mr Tickle could be around the next corner the next time th u are feeling ticklish.

The story is brilliant to make interactive and tixkle your child throughout. My two toddlers go crazy for this and routinely pick this book out of the box set for that reason if nothing else. This isn't a book we use at bedtime now...!

The illustrations are brilliant: simple but eye-catchingly bright and complement the text wonderfully.

This is a classic for a reason; it's cheeky and funny and maintains my children's attention until the end. (even before we started tickling them!) A must-read!

My four year old loves the Mr Men books and Mr Tickle is in his top 5!  He finds it hilarious that Mr Tickle can reach down the stairs with his long arms and fetch a biscuit from bed! He also loves the idea that Mr Tickle gets away with tickling policemen directing traffic (and causing a crash), tickling the postman and making his drop his letters etc.
Young children love good natured mischievousness and that is why this book works so well for them. Great simple, colourful illustrations.
