We absolutely adore Lulu Loves Flowers! What a lovely, bright and cheerful story! My son wanted to go and explore in the garden and look for flowers after we read this together. We will be planting sunflower seeds soon, Lulu has inspired us!

A brightly illustrated story with interesting ideas to discuss with the little ones. I read this to my 3 year old niece and each page was simple enough for her to understand and chat about it. We especially liked the last few pages about sharing the garden with her friends!

A lovely colourful book, I'm sure all little children love flowers and gardening this book is so bright and cheerful my little girl loved every page. My 5 and 7 year old also found it easy enough to read themselves with large bold writing.
It is based on the rhyme 'Mary,Mary' and Lulu, (the little girl in the story) while waiting for her flowers to grow completes activities which would be easy for children to copy. The book even points you to the publishers website showing how to complete these activities at home. A great idea!

BLOOMING INSPIRING
"Really good, I like it, of course I like it! It's very colourful. I like Lulu's hairstyle. I like that she wanted to plant her own garden and that gave me an idea that I could ask if I could plant my own things in the garden." Kikki age 5

My 2 years old loved this book. We do planting in the garden and my daughter helps me, so she liked that the soptory included things she does and could relate to. Lulu was a lovely character, very likeable , and the colourful illustrations were beautifully done. My daughter knows Mary mary quite contrary poem, so she liked saying the words with me at the beginning, and we liked Lulu's version of it at the end of the book. A really nice story we will enjoy reading over and over again.

My 6 year old daughter loves reading this to her younger brother (1).
It inspired them both to get out into the garden and plant some seeds.
They both give it a big thumbs up.

We love the way that this story makes an old favourite nursery rhyme real for the children of today.
As we are growing seeds at the moment, Georgie loved reading this book as she could remember doing the same things that Lulu does in the story.
She loved Lulu's new version of the nursery rhyme at the end and change it to her name!

I'm so pleased I won this as my little girl's nickname is LuLu - she thinks the book is just for her!  A lovely simple story of getting involved with gardening.  pretty artwork giving lots to talk about in terms of shapes, colours etc. I liked the new version of the nursery rhyme at the end - this got us making our own changes to our favourite songs - any excuse to be silly!!

A great little book to teach my daughter about growing flowers based around the "Mary Mary, quite contrary" rhyme. My 5 year old found it easy to read and enjoyed reading it to my 2 year old. A lovely sweet story
