Little Miss Bossy thinks she can boss almost anyone around, that is until she tries on a new pair of bossyboots!

The Mr Men and Little Miss have been delighting children for generations with their charming and funny antics. Bold illustrations and funny stories make Mr Men and Little Miss the perfect story time experience for children aged two up. Have you met them all?

It all started with a tickle. Roger Hargreaves' son Adam asked him what a tickle looked like. In response, Roger drew a small orange man with extraordinarily long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone. Mr Tickle, the first of the Mr Men, was born. Mr Tickle was soon joined by Mr Greedy, Mr Happy, Mr Nosey, Mr Sneeze and Mr Bump. The books were an instant hit and Roger went on to create many more Mr Men and Little Miss characters. What Roger really wanted was to make children laugh, which is probably why his own favourite character is Mr Silly.

Little Miss Bossy stars in the first Little Miss book of the series. She is very rude and spends her time ordering people what to do - until a wizard decides to teach her a lesson. Her shoes turn into "bossy boots" and shows her his horrible it is to be made to do things. She is a changed person at the end of the tale. It's a nice enough story, if not a bit tit-for-tat.

The illustrations are bright and bold; they accompany the text well and help lend meaning to the words for my little ones as we read.

My toddlers enjoy this story - my son thinks the talking shoes are very funny.

The book is a perfect size for little hands and means they are easily able to handle and "read" the books themselves.
