Sometimes my naughty little sister can be good . . . when she helps Grannie to make a Christmas Pudding and even teaches Bad Harry a lesson or two. Has my little sister given up her naughty ways?

RELIVING GOOD TIMES... I bought the box set for my little one for Christmas. Really I bought it for me as I remember this being a favourite when my Dad took me to the local library. I told my daughter (5 and a half) all about it and she eagerly asked if we could find these stories. The other day I discovered this title on her bookshelf, she'd taken it out of the box and had already started to read it by herself. Hooked already! It's now one of our bedtime reads. It retains its humour and classic style, a sweet, fun, nostalgic read. It also offers us lots to discuss about the 'olden days' (this can be amusing when I'm the one from those days!), gender roles, technology, etc without feeling dated or something you'd rather hide. Very pleased.
