Cat, Dog, Pig and Duck all want to climb aboard Mr Horse for a ride. But when they get bored with the slow pace, they ask Mr Horse to go faster and faster...But will "faster" lead to disaster? A delightful rhythmical text with adorable illustrations, which will enthral every child.

I read it to EJB aged 1 aged 1

My 1 year old loves this book! It's a really good story for joining in with the actions, bouncing your little one up and down on your knee - my son's favourite bit is when they fly through the air and I lean him forward like he's flying too! It's short enough to hold a very small child's attention, but the playful 'again' at the end encourages repeated reads! I also like that it uses familiar farm animals which has helped reinforce my son's vocabulary learning.

My daughter loves hearing this book read to her - especially when you get louder and faster as horse goes quicker - she squeals with delight as they land 'plop plop ploppity plop' and as they shout 'again'.
For a little one the repetition is great and the simple animals give plenty of opportunity for practising animal noises too.
Even when this lovely little book is 'hidden' she will find it and ask for the story 'again'.

A nice simple story about some animals getting a ride from Mr Horse. My older daughter thought it was very funny when they fell off and landed in the hay and my younger one enjoyed reading the book too. The book will help my younger child's vocabulary when it comes to farm animals in the future and I'm sure it will cement the word "again" in her mind! We had fun adding a bit of horsey knee games along with this story.

This is a lovely little board book. The story of a horse offering a ride to other farmyard animals who want to go faster. The 'clippity clop' and 'ploppity plop' sounds are particularly enjoyed by my little one as well as having him sit on my lap and pretending that he is riding on the horse.

When I first read this book I thought it was awful. No real storyline and I didnt like the illustrations. However, after reading it a few times my daughter absolutely fell in love with it! To my surprise it became her favourite book, especially when we did actions to the horse going faster & the animals falling off. I would now thoroughly recommend it, she still reads it at 19 months (she has had it since about 4 months)

This book is a superb read for little ones; especially suitable for babies but my older toddler really enjoys it too (especially when we pretend my knee is a horse).

Mr Horse offers a ride to some of his farmyard friends (Cat; Dog; Pig and Duck.) Mr Horse goes faster and faster and faster until he suddenly stops and everyone flies off into a haystack. The story ends with "Again". You can guarantee this is one of the first bits your little one will pick up!

The text is simple and the sound effects form part of it, which is excellent as you can get a bit over the top. It's a great book for getting really silly and noisy with during the day.

This is a lovely book to introduce animals and to make reading a fun, playful experience.

We have this for my baby girl who enjoys it but it's also loved by my 5 year old.
It's a great short story, perfect for a bedtime story but also for fun reading time. My daughter loves to sit on my knee and go clip clop. The pictures are lovely too.

This is a super fun story that reminds my girls of playing horsey with their daddy.
It is an upbeat read all about familiar animals having a ride on a horse. They go slow at first and then they go super fast... but what happens? They all fall off but that does not deter them and they want to ride the horse again.
My baby daughter enjoys this book and received it at just a couple of months old. It is well written, in keeping with its target audience and a story line that I'm sure many munchkins will be able to relate to.

This is a great one for little children, perhaps not as a bedtime story because it works best with them on your knee pretending to ride the horse.
The illustrations aren't out of this world, but more than acceptable and she's got the rhythm perfectly.
I used to love reading it and you could pretty much guarantee 'Again! Again!' at the end

My daughter received this book as part of her book start. She loves being bounced on the knee to this book and is very vocal. It's a great book for half way through the day mummy and daughter time as it's fun and interactive not really a bedtime story. She likes to hold the book and touch the pages. It's a lovely book with lovely illustrations.
