READ BY TERENCE STAMP. Chaos ensues when a young boy gets his kite stuck up a tree in this laugh-out-loud new picture book from award-winning, internationally best-selling author-illustrator Oliver Jeffers!
Floyd gets his kite stuck up a tree. He throws up his shoe to shift it, but that gets stuck too. So he throws up his other shoe and that got stuck, along with... a ladder, a pot of paint, the kitchen sink, an orang-utan and a whale, amongst other things!
Will Floyd ever get his kite back?
A hilarious book with a wonderful surprise ending.

My son adores this book, it is beyond ridiculous with Floyd throwing more and more items up a tree to get his stuck kite down but it is really quite funny due to it's complete and utter randomness.  Highly recommended.

Another fabulous book from Oliver Jeffers! A boy gets his kite stuck in a tree, and using the logic of a child he decides to throw something else up into the tree to dislodge it. Only that gets stuck. As does the next item thrown up, and the next, and the next....! This book is very funny and both my son and I giggled all the way through! The boy does a few unexpected things, and the ending is particularly perfect. We both loved this book, both the style of the writing and the charming pictures.

Oh dear!  When a little boy gets his kite stuck up in a tree, he will try ANYTHING to get it back down again, even if it means losing a few more things in the process! A really funny story

A wonderful book to keep youngsters hooked and entertained. A young boy gets his kite stuck in a tree and tries to get it down by throwing a multitude of magnificent objects at it. The story had my children rolling around with laughter and guessing what might end up in the tree next. A great five minute read.

My little one found this book really funny. The little boy gets his kite stuck in a tree and has numerous failed attempts to get it down ending is a series of other objects getting stuck in the tree! It was great for anticipating what might happen next!

Never mind my daughter...I LOVE this book.  We are big fans of Oliver Jeffers and this doesn't disappoint.
Floyd gets his kite stuck in a tree, so tries to use his initiative to get the kite unstuck...however, his plan of throwing things to knock it down gets him into an even bigger pickle, the list of things that go up and get stuck just go on and on and get even more ridiculous.  The list of things that go is just crazy and as you go through them you can't help but get the giggles...I mean who throws orang-utans and firemen up a tree!!?
Great illustrations and a plain silly book to laugh along with.

This is one of those books which makes both child and adult laugh out loud. A completely random story but hilarious nonetheless!

Floyd gets his kite stuck in a tree, and throws his shoe at it to try and get it down. As the title suggests, that then gets stuck.... leaving Floyd to continue to throw things into the tree that get progressively larger and wackier..... until the fire brigade finally come and he throws them in the tree to. The tree has finally reached capacity... and the kite drops down. Floyd is delighted and runs off to play with the kite but cant shake the nagging feeling he's forgotten something.... all those things/people still stuck up the tree. Its very reminiscent of the traditional song "There was an old lady that swallowed a fly" - however while that has the same "silliness" there's more of a logical flow (dog to catch the cat to catch the bird to catch the spider to catch the fly) which makes it a much more engaging / semi-believable read. I've tried Stuck with my daughter several times and you can see it just confuses her rather than entertains her. Having read so many good reviews of this book, and really enjoying the "boy and penguin" books by the same author - we were both rather disappointed.
