This book is very imaginative and is written by an amazing author. I hate the beastly grandma but I think that George is very clever and has plan to make his grandma more lovely and a grandma that anyone could wish for. I would recommend this book to any fans of Roald Dahl. It's a truly brilliant book so I rate it five stars.

I have read this book to my 3 daughters and they really enjoyed it. It is humorous and kept each of them entertained all the way to the end. George is a likeable rogue who is up to mischief.

How George makes the medicine and then the consequences when he gets the ingredients slightly wrong, makes for a very comical read

Great read, very funny with lots of imaginary play ideas to follow up the story. My children loved collecting bits from the kitchen and garden to make potions! Luckily I managed to persuade them they were better off as spell bottles and not to drink them!!

The story is not too long, can be read in 2 hours, it is fast moving and very descriptive. The main characters are Grandma and George who decides to concoct a medicine which will make Grandma less bad tempered with hilarious results. This book would appeal to children from 5 to 12 years.
