HAnother brilliant story by Julia after watching stick man on tv at Christmas we went out and brought the book and I'm glad we did. The story is about stickman trying to find his family after accidentally getting lost although the story is based around Christmas its a brilliant read all year round

Yet another great Donaldson Scheffler combination. My grandaughter wanted to read and reread this story. Despite being a Christmas story we read this story all through the year. It encompasses a whole gamut of emotions. Really recommend this book.

My daughter just received this board book version of Stick Man as a gift. Our original paperback copy is starting to look a little tattered - thanks to manhandling from 2 young toddlers! - so it's arrival was very well timed!

There are very limited difference from the paperback copy; namely the format and size (this version is half the size) everything is else is the same (thankfully!) There is no preamble over the first page with all the information about printing and so on - it's just straight on with the tale.

The board book format is ideal for younger readers - like my 2 & 1 year olds - and will hopefully stand up without damage for longer. The paperback copy did do an excellent job, to be fair though. I wouldn't have bought this version to replace it (it's no where near that bad!) but if you have very little ones, it would be worth buying this one in the first instance. My children do find it easier to use this version by themselves as it's not as big.

This is absolute classic presented in a practical manner for toddlers.

Our family are all big fans of Julia Donaldson books and this one is a particular favourite of ours. My children love following the journey of stick man on his way to get back to the family tree and the Christmas theme at the end is an added bonus and makes the book even more special.

A beautiful book which has been transformed into a theatre shown and film which is shown at Christmas. A great book to read to children to show them how important a home is.

We loved reading this book about a stick man who gets a bit lost when he leaves the "family tree". He gets taken by a dog, a duck, a girl, a man (not in that order) before being returned home by Father Christmas himself.

This is a varied, fun and exciting book. It has mild peril in it which I think is good for ny 2 year olds to see as they understand to be careful and also how important dads and families can be. They love all the adventures he has and Santa at the end. I love that you see all the seasons.
